Surrender a Cat

Due to the large number of senior cats needing homes currently, we are focusing on rescuing cats from shelters where they are at risk for euthanasia.

If you need to surrender your cat, please read below for more info.

June’s Senior Cat Rescue (JSCR) is a senior cat rescue organization dedicated to providing loving care and comfort to our senior cats in their golden years.  If you are a private citizen and need to surrender your senior cat, please complete the Waitlist Request Form found here. Completing the form does not guarantee your cat a space in our organization but will get you on our waitlist. We are a limited admission facility and can only accept animals based on space availability. Because of this, we are unable to give an estimate of when we can take your cat into our organization.

To be eligible for our program, you must prove that your cat:

  • Is ten years old or older
  • Has been spayed or neutered
  • Is up to date on vaccines complete with verifiable shot records
  • Is negative for FELV complete with verifiable vet records
  • Is in good health
  • Has the ability to get along with other cats without aggression

****Understand that if we accept your cat, we will require a mandatory surrender fee to cover the partial cost of care and potential placement of your cat and be willing to sign an owner surrender form giving us full custody. ****

.

Surrender Fees

Surrender fees help cover the cost of food, daily care, and any medical care that may be required.

  • $250 Cat Surrender Fee for a cat without any medical issues
  • $350 Cat surrender fee for a cat with known medical issues, i.e. kidney disease
  • $450 cat surrender fee for a cat with a known medical issue that requires daily medication and ongoing medical care, i.e. diabetes, hyperthyroidism, etc.

Once you complete the Waitlist Request Form, a representative from JSCR will reach out to you. You can complete the Waitlist Request Form HERE.
