Meet Liz Taylor
Liz Taylor was named after the beautiful and glamorous Hollywood movie star, Elizabeth Taylor, who was a famous actress in the 1950s. We feel our Liz Taylor is just as beautiful as the movie star.
Our Liz Taylor did not live her life in the Hollywood spotlight, in fact quite the opposite. At the age of 15, she was found as a stray in streets of Albuquerque, NM and was taken the shelter. The vets at the shelter soon discovered that Liz Taylor had fluid in both her chest and abdomen (FIP was ruled out) making her prognosis extremely poor.
The shelter reached out to us to see if we would be willing to take Liz Taylor in and shower her with love and affection, deserving of a Hollywood movie star, for whatever time she had left, and we said yes!
The truth is most of the cats we take in are hospice cats who are in need of end-of-life care. We feel it’s a privilege to provide the love and care to a senior cat in their final days/weeks/months of life.
We would hate for a senior cat to not feel the love and warmth of a loving home before they pass. This is why we do what we do!
June’s Senior Cat Rescue takes in the most vulnerable senior cats and provides them with all the love and affection they deserve in their final days/weeks/months.
Providing end of life care can be costly. If you can spare $5 to help a senior cat, JSCR would appreciate it.
