We often get requests for help from people who can’t afford to provide veterinary care to their own cats or for community cats they care for. These cats often face surrender, euthanasia, or continued suffering if the care they need isn’t provided. Our Help Meowt program allows us to help cats in dire need without being surrendered to JSCR. We assist with the veterinary costs so owners and community cat caretakers can provide their cats with the veterinary care they desperately need. This allows cats to stay in their loving homes with their owners and ensures community cats can live their healthiest lives without contributing to the overpopulation crisis.
